Skins are one of the defining features of League of Legends, giving players new ways to express and play with their favorite champions. Alternate themes, visuals, animations and sound design are all cosmetic modifications that do not affect gameplay but often garner equal hype to new champions or large seasonal updates.
In more than ten years, Riot Games has released over 1,600 skins, with new cosmetic content coming in nearly every patch. While most skins are announced and showcased on the PBE shortly before launch, some skins are confirmed long in advance and others are discovered well ahead of schedule by reliable community leaks.
The 2026 season is already expected to be busy, with several returning skin lines as well as new themes that are more closely tied to the game's expanding narrative.
Season 2026 Act 1 Demacia skins

- Petricite Nautilus (Epic)
- Durand’s Legacy Taliyah (Battle Pass)
- Prestige Veiled Lady Morgana (Prestige, Battle Pass)
Firecracker skins
The Firecracker skin line is expected to return in 2026, based on leaks from Big Bad Bear. These skins traditionally align with Lunar New Year celebrations.

- Firecracker Caitlyn
Battle Academia skins
Another fan-favourite skin line set to make a comeback is Battle Academia, known for its anime-inspired visuals and dramatic abilities.
- Battle Academia Samira

Exalted skins
Only one Exalted skin has been leaked so far, with its release delayed from 2025 into the 2026 season.
- Exalted Viego
As always, details may change as Riot finalises its plans, but 2026 is already shaping up to be a strong year for League of Legends skins.
