Assassin’s Creed Shadows Title Update 1.1.7 has been released on December 16, 2025. This update will offer new finisher animations for both Naoe and Yasuke, along with a new set of Animus-based content, featuring a new Rift experience Lost and Found, and the Defiance Project, which will provide a set of unlockables and progression for players. 

Additionally, Update 1.1.7 will address a variety of fixes and optimizations on all platforms. Specifically, Nintendo Switch 2 players will see improved stability with less crashes while several quest blockers, and UI inconsistencies have been addressed on all platforms.

Key Features in Assassin’s Creed Shadows Update 1.1.7

Combat
  • Finishers: Naoe and Yasuke have new finisher animations to make combat even more cinematic and brutal.
  • Animus Content: Includes a new Animus Rift called Lost and Found, with puzzles and traversal encounters, as well as a new Animus HUB Project called Defiance, with Project progression rewards, including a Bo staff and Trinket.
  • Vault Shortcut: Shortcut to the Vault can now be accessed directly from the Animus menu while in-game to save time.
Exchange
  • Gold, Mastery, and Knowledge Points: Can be purchased on the daily Exchange offers and can be re-bought with Keys.
Nintendo Switch 2
  • FPS: There’s better performance in certain situations.
  • Stability: Addressed multiple cases of crashes and visual issues.
  • Controllers: Players will experience less controller connection prompts when docking and undocking the system, and touchscreen improvements for better controls.
Fixes
  • Sword of Fathoms: Fixed an exploit in which double engravings could be applied to the weapon.
  • Items and Perks: Fixed an issue in which Mastery point changes did not update the perks of items. Also fixed an issue with skill upgrades not being applied as expected.
  • Bo Staff: Affliction buildup now increases at Mythic and Artifact quality levels.
  • Shared Skills: Naoe and Yasuke will now properly receive shared skills.
World
  • Follow Road: Can now use Whistling while performing Follow Road.
  • Corrupted Castles: Will no longer reset after the season changes.
PC

Technical Fixes

  • Mouse and Keyboard: Input rebinding issues addressed.
  • FPS: Further stability work has been done to keep the FPS more stable.
Quests
  • Swords And Sake: Quest will now properly complete when Gennojo dies.
  • Eliminate Outlaws: Fixed issue with quest blockers.
  • Temple Stories: Joken Hokkyo will no longer disappear.

Assassin's Creed Shadows first launched on March 20, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and macOS and on December 2, 2025 for Nintendo Switch 2.
