Respawn's Stories from the Outlands: Legacy of a Thief has finally brought the official Apex Legends: Season 5 patch notes, including the new champion of course.

"When everything was taken from her, Loba Andrade learned how to take from everyone else. The Apex Games’ newest Legend is used to getting what she wants - no matter how well it’s guarded", Respawn wrote about Loba.

As was correctly dug up by data miners, Season 5 of Apex Legends is called Fortune's Favor, with Loba being just one of the novelties.

Season 5 will see Respawn add Quests, where players will get to complete the Season Quest in return for rich rewards. There's also the new Battle Pass, with more than 100 exclusive items, including Legendaries, Apex Packs and more.

Although it's been listed last among the Ranked changes, the Reconnect feature will probably be felt first by many Apex Legends players.

"We're happy to announce that reconnect is coming in Season 5. If you get disconnected due to internet weather, a quick brownout, or a crash in the game - you can now just restart and if the session is still ongoing you will reload right back into the session", they wrote.

We should learn more details on the Reconnect system in the final patch notes, which we suppose will be posted on Apex Legends: Season 5's launch day, i.e. 12 May 2020.

If you've been looking forward to SBMM changes, you'll definitely be disappointed as Respawn won't be making changes there. Apex Legends' separation of Tier and Predator ranks has also worked a treat, so it and splits will continue into S5.
