Respawn Entertainment announced exciting news regarding the next season but now it appears that something juicy was kept under wraps and it was leaked on one of the official channels.

Apex Legends Season 8 is coming alongside Fuse , the new Legend, and a new weapon. These additions will release on February 2, 2021, but it appears that this not all the good stuff coming on that day when it comes to Respawn's battle royale.

Namely, Nintendo Switch version is supposed to release on the same day, if the Japanese version of the trailer video on YouTube is correct. It is only this version that stated Apex Legends would release on Nintendo Switch at the start of February but considering the handheld console's popularity in Japan, this isn't all that surprising.

Then again, it appears that Respawn Entertainment was not actually ready to share the news as the other versions of the same video don't have the Switch release date attached to them.

Roughly one hour after the news was relayed, the release date was removed from the video but since this is the internet, it has already been catalogued and there are images that prove the announcement's existence. You can find them on the tweet chain embedded below.

That said, if this turns out to be just Respawn taking people for a ride, it wouldn't be the first time. We all remember how Forge's supposed release ended up, right?
