Respawn Entertainment have great news for players who haven't had as much time to indulge in Apex Legends' Anniversary Collection Event, as they've extended it for another week.
This is actually pretty great for players who are a bit more limited with their time, as it allows them to collect the Anniversary rewards without having to relegate work and family as secondary to your Apex needs.
"We heard some of you need more time to collect all your Anniversary rewards? In the spirit of celebration, we're going to keep the party going for one additional week. The Anniversary Collection Event will now remain open until March 2 at 10am PT", the studio tweeted.
It's well worth saying that Respawn have been firing on all cylinders for a while now, even though they tend to redefine what that means quite often. The dev opened up a new studio in Vancouver whose sole job is to be the dedicated factory of all things Apex Legends, and they've been on fire ever since.
Apex Legends will soon be launching on Nintendo Switch, yet another win for the dev team, although we're yet to see how that will pan out in practice. While we're fairly confident that the game itself will run just fine, the question of cross-play is nowhere nearly as simple.
Once you've cleared the hurdle of the technology that allows for cross-platform play, you arrive at a thankless concept of Joy-Con controllers competing with mouse and keyboard players.
Unfortunately, we're yet to find a solution that has worked flawlessly without making either of the sides cry big salty tears, so we can only hope Respawn will have an answer.
