Apex Legends' native PS5 version has been found on the PS Store suggesting a very close release date.
Reliable PlayStation patch tracker PlayStation Game Size reveals that a native version of Apex Legends has appeared on the PlayStation database which is suggesting that an official release is coming very soon.
The game's file size is reported to be around 80 GB and apparently, it does not include additional updates that could be coming with the port.
Respawn Entertainment confirmed they are working on a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S native version of Apex Legends back in August 2021 but we have not heard much about the release date since. The team never really shared a specific date with the community but given that the game can now be found on the PlayStation Database, we probably won't be waiting much longer for such an announcement.
At the moment, PlayStation and Xbox players can play Apex Legends on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S via backwards compatibility but a proper current-gen version with improved visuals and boosted frame rate would certainly be nice.
Since Apex Legends is a competitive shooter, we assume Respawn are not going to boost the visuals to the max since higher frame rates are more important so a 120 FPS mode is probably a lock on both consoles.
Apex Legends is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
