Respawn's Vince Zampella may have said that Titanfall 3 is not on the cards, but he sure didn't say anything about the beloved franchise poking its head in Apex Legends.
It's not like traces of Titans haven't been find since almost the beginning of Apex Legends, but then again - Respawn's battle royale was crafted out of Titanfall and not the other way around.
In fact, many of the earlier hints at Titanfall's mech could be attributed to just that - Titanfall assets and whatnot. Now, however, we're seeing freshly added stuff that suggests Respawn are finally introducing the big, bad mechs into Apex Legends.
Now don't get excited just yet, as they may not work as they did in Titanfall. In fact, as data miner Shrugtal suggested on Twitter, they might be part of an LTM or even just scattered across the map as props.
Indeed, one of the assets that were added in the Lost Treasures Collection Events suggests they'll just be immobilised and hanging off of cranes in Apex Legends. You can check it out below.
On the other hand, one of the hints that make us hopeful we'll get to see playable Titans in Apex Legends is the one you see below. In case you're not versed in Titanlore - you're looking at Titan batteries, the energy source without which they're technically a hunk o' junk.
Also found was one of the rocket pods on a piece of a Northstar-class Titan, so we're really hoping to see them as at least semi-playable characters in Apex Legends. That said, this might not be Season 5 we're talking about here, as the dev also included some S6 stuff in there.
