Latest data mine from Twitter user Real Apex Leaks reveals some new, yet unannounced content that could be dropping during the Season One. The leak reveals new weapons - flamethrowers and turrets, as well as both friendly and hostile NPCs.
Apex Legends has been a subject of many leaks ever since the launch in February 2019. Data miners discovered a host of yet unreleased content that Respawn is planning to add to their battle royale.
The latest leak comes from Real Apex Leaks and it reveals new weapons and NPCs. One of the new weapons is a flamethrower while the leak also reveals remote turrets.
The data mined files unveil a line in Apex Legend's code that includes a reference to flamethrower status effect and the existence of turrets.
Unfortunately, the files don't include additional details on these weapons, and at the moment, it's unclear if Respawn will add these through the upcoming Battle Pass or as a standalone addition like they did with the recently added Havoc rifle.
As for the NPCs, this discovery is more detailed and it reveals that both friendly and hostile NPCs could be added to Apex Legends. The files show numerous commands like "investigate", "stay close to the squad" and "patrol".
This suggests that players may be able to control friendly NPCs which is a feature that could bring even more tactical possibilities to Apex Legends' combat.
Another interesting thing is that NPCs will work just like other loot. This means that players will be able to find and recruit them all over the map. However, it's unknown if NPCs will fill up the empty spots in squads and .
All in all, the leaks once again confirm that Respawn Entertainment have a lot of upcoming content planned and the first set of these additions should arrive in the Season One that is scheduled to launch in March 2019.
