Age of Empires IV gameplay reveal date confirmed by Microsoft

Microsoft have officially announced the rumoured Age of Empires event for April 10, 2021. The publisher promises a new look at Age of Empires IV gameplay, civilizations, campaigns, and more.

The Age of Empires team say they are thrilled to announce a celebration of the iconic real-time strategy franchise with a new event: the Age of Empires: Fan Preview. This event, which will be jam-packed with surprises will start at 9:00 AM PT/17:00 CET on April 10, 2021.

You will be able to watch the event live on AgeofEmpires.com , Twitch , Facebook Live , the Xbox YouTube channel, and Bilibili in China. The team says they don't want to spoil the surprises but promise a lot of Age of Empires IV content. "Our broadcast will include a new look at gameplay, civilizations, campaigns, and more for you to enjoy," it's written in the announcement.

Additionally, the devs confirmed they will be sharing some exciting news for Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition players, as well.

Age of Empires IV is currently in development at Relic Entertainment. The game is confirmed for PC and it's reportedly targeting Q1 2022 release window. Xbox Series X|S version is yet to be announced but Relic have said they would love to port the game to console after the release on PC.
