Sisters of Battle, or Adepta Sororitas, have made their appearances in various W40K video games and they are on their way to Inquisitor - Martyr in 2022. While the year is a release window, there is no exact release date yet. As per usual, the DLC will arrive to PC first and consoles later.
Those not entirely familiar with the Adepta Sororitas, their appearance in this game makes more sense than you might originally suspect. While the order doesn't command as much unchecked power as the Inquisition, it is generally attached to the organisation, specifically Ordo Hereticus. Given the shady background of the Martyr and those who ran it, involvement of Ordo Hereticus and their Chamber Militant only seems logical.
As for the gameplay style, the Sisters of Battle specialise in various weapons but especially Flamers, Blesed Blades and Neural Whips. Their zealous nature is represented by the faith mechanic that will allow them to invoke powers to smite the enemies of the Imperium and performing Acts of Faith can transform them into Embodied Saints on a temporary basis.
Unfortunately, further information on the DLC is scarce but having a new playable character is already big news.
Keep in mind that Neocore has quite the schedule for Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor - Martyr and something is always afoot in the Caligari Sector to keep Inquisitors on their toes.
