343 Industries, the developer of Halo Infinite could reveal more details about the game in the next few weeks. The team are hoping to offer a high-level update but don't have anything planned for The Game Awards, contrary to rumours.
It looks like we could see more of Halo Infinite in the upcoming weeks as 343 Industries are preparing "a high-level update" where they will talk more about their project. 343 Industries developer replied on a Reddit thread, confirming that the game will not appear at The Game Awards 2020, despite some rumours suggesting otherwise.
"Full disclosure, we don't have anything planned for the VGAs (The Game Awards)," 343 employee wrote . "[We] are hoping to offer at least a high-level update within the next few weeks so we can kind of restart this journey together after the holidays."
They also wrote that the reason for skipping The Game Awards is simply due to an enormous amount of work that would be necessary to prepare something like a demo or a big beat. This would cause challenges with the current milestone of the holidays, they explained.
As you may know, Xbox planned to release Halo Infinite along with their new consoles Xbox Series X and Series S this month but had to delay it to 2021 after that gameplay reveal several months ago.
At the time of writing, Halo Infinite still does not have a release date but some reliable insiders claim that first half of 2021 is pretty much what the team are aiming for.
Halo Infinite is coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
