While playing Stalker2: Heart of Chornobyl, the newest survival RPG shooter from GSC Game World, you'll be meeting all kinds of abominations, from mutated dogs, stags, and boars to the much bigger and way more dangerous mutants that will require a lot of strategy and good reflexes to beat.
The mutated dogs are one of the first enemies you'll encounter in the game, and while they're not that dangerous, they are extremely annoying, mostly because of their circular movements that make hitting them a pretty tough task. But if you think those dogs are bad, wait until you meet real annoyance: the mutated dogs that disappear into thin air after being shot.
If you do not know how to beat these creatures, we have a guide that will help you with this task. After you learn how to do it, fighting with them will soon turn from annoyingly hard to ridiculously easy.
How to easily kill a pack of mutated, disappearing dogs
You'll probably encounter the disappearing dogs once you cross the bridge from Lesser Tone for the first time, and those dogs can be really hard because if you don't know how to beat them, you'll soon spend all ammo, and each time you kill one, the others appear.
However, there's a really simple strategy to dispose of them easily. As soon as you encounter those dogs, don't bother fighting them head-on; instead, run and try to find a crate or something you can climb on. Keep in mind that creatures tend to back out if they can't reach you, like in the case when you climb on something. To make them reappear, just jump off and immediately climb back on.
Shoot any dog, and if he disappears, scan for the next one that will reappear. The one that shows up in his stead is a pack leader. Shot him, and if he is the correct one, he will not disappear like the others. Keep shooting him until he's down. Keep in mind that it will probably take several bullets to bring him down, but once he dies, the others will simply disappear.
