Metal Eden, the latest futuristic platforming shooter from Deep Silver, is a game that heavily reminds us of old, linear games, where we always shot first and asked questions probably never.
Apart from being a very straightforward and simple game, Metal Eden will have some tough moments, regardless of the difficulty you choose to play the game on, because some encounters, especially the ones with the bosses, will give you a hard time; you can be certain about that.
One such occasion is the boss fight against the Overseer, a huge fish-like metal creature, who you'll have to fight at the end of the sixth level. If this boss is giving you a hard time, we have a couple of tips, along with a video guide of the fight, to help you overcome this formidable foe.
How to beat the Overseer boss in Metal Eden
The fight will start with the boss circling around the arena. As I earlier said, regardless of the difficulty level you're playing the game on, this fight will be challenging if you don't know how to approach it properly. As soon as the fight starts, make sure to pick the Zenit SMG weapon from the weapon wheel; this one will do the most damage to the boss.
Once the boss's health bar disappears, prepare for the platforming. The floor will become hazardous, so you're going to have to avoid it by riding the zipline that will appear around the arena. Keep an eye on the zipline endings to be ready to switch between them. If you fail to do it, you'll fall to the floor and receive the damage.

The first zipline segment will involve several drones you'll have to shoot down until the boss reappears. The longer you take destroying them all, the more time you'll give the boss to regenerate health because while the boss isn't around, his health regenerates.
During the second zipline segment, you'll have to kill some enemies staying on the pillars. Also, during the second appearance of the boss, some enemies will be inside the arena too. The best strategy is to deal with them right away, then turn your attention to the boss.
Use only kinetic weapons against this boss because the energy ones seem not as effective against him. Also, the moment the boss disappears from the arena is the perfect time to run and restore health, armour, and ammo before the floor becomes hazardous.
Heed those couple of tips, and the Overseer will soon become history. If you want, you can see how we beat him on the video we posted above.
