Playing Shinobi 2: Art of Vengeance, you probably noticed green walls with some loot behind them and without means to get through those walls. If you're wondering how to get past them, we have the answer for you.

Shinobi 2: Art of Vengeance, the latest 2D Metroidvania-styled action adventure from Sega, is a classic beat 'em up, linear action game in which you take the role of a modern-day shinobi who has dedicated his life to his clan and the betterment of the entire world.

Since this game is also a platformer full of many different obstacles to overcome, very early in the game, you'll start meeting some without the game explaining anything about them, like green walls keeping you from gathering some sweet loot that is in plain sight but unable for you to reach.

If you're wondering how to pass those green walls and pick up everything that is hidden behind them, we have a guide that will explain everything regarding this mechanic in Shinobi 2: Art of Vengeance.

How to get past green walls iin Shinobi 2: Art of Vengeance

First of all, those green walls are called Yokai Barriers, and even though you'll meet those all over the first several levels in the game, the ability to get past them will be presented later in the game as part of the mandatory story path.

Once the game opens up a bit and you get the ability to choose which level to tackle first on the main story path, you'll unlock the ability called Cannon Punch. This ability will allow you to charge your heavy attack (the Y button on the Xbox controller). This ability will let you break the shields of some enemies and break Yokai Barriers.

Once you get this ability, you can backtrack the previous levels to find all the places where Yokai Barriers are located, break them, and get the loot hidden behind them. This loot might be important in the manner of early abilities and medallions that can be very helpful, especially if you play the game on a harder difficulty, so it is highly advisable to revisit the previous locations as soon as you unlock Cannon Punch.
