In Lords of the Fallen, the entire concept of secrets and exploration hinges on uncovering hidden passageways and gaining access to a multitude of shortcuts. These shortcuts ultimately lead to hidden regions where you can uncover numerous items.
This concept remains consistent across all Souls-like titles, and even CI Games, the developers behind Lords of the Fallen, chose not to reinvent the wheel but rather adhered to this tried-and-true formula.
Within the hub area of Skyrest, you'll encounter a massive door that provides access to the Skyrest Bridge. However, this door will be firmly sealed. Consult the guide to discover the whereabouts of the key needed to unlock this door.
How to find the key for the Skyrest Bridge door
To begin, warp to the Sanctuary Vestige and descend the staircase. Proceed right, passing through the stacked boxes, and descend two platforms. Follow the pathway to the left, navigating across various platforms, but exercise caution as lurking enemies aim to shove you into the abyss. Continue on this route until you reach the elevator.
Take the elevator up, proceed down the spiral staircase, and cross the bridge. Keep walking until you arrive at the Umbral exit statue. Employ Umbral Lamp and head to the right, moving across the Umbral bridge with the lamp lit but not in the Umbral realm. When you reach the midpoint of the bridge, release the lamp button. You'll descend to a lower platform.
Now it's time to cross into the Umbral realm. Go left, pull the next Umbral Bridge, and head to the middle of the Umbral structure, where you can find the statue from which you can pull an item using the soulflay move. That item is the key. Take the key, but be aware of two grim reaper-looking enemies that will appear as soon as you pick up the key. Continue forward, exit the Umbral world using a nearby statue, and proceed to the door.
Upon passing through this door, be sure to thoroughly explore every nook and cranny of this area, where you'll come across many intriguing items. Notably, there are numerous skulls that can be converted into vigor. After unlocking the door, you'll create a shortcut to Skyrest.
