Legacy of the Forge is the second of three planned expansions for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Here's how you can access it.
Following on from Brushes with Death, Warhorse Studios has released Legacy of the Forge, the second major expansion for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. This DLC shifts focus to Kuttenberg, placing Henry’s family history at the centre and drawing on his ties to the blacksmithing trade.
The final DLC, Mysteria Ecclesiae, remains on track for winter 2025. As with earlier content, Legacy of the Forge is bundled with the Gold Edition and Expansion Pass.
Alongside a new questline, Legacy of the Forge introduces forge restoration mechanics that echo the Pribyslavitz reconstruction mechanics from From the Ashes DLC in Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
How to access Legacy of the Forge
To start Legacy of the Forge, first make sure you’ve wrapped up the main quest The Sword and the Quill which unlocks the Kuttenberg region.
Once you can move freely around the region, make your way to the eastern side of Kuttenberg, near The Hole in the Wall tavern. There you’ll spot a ruined forge, marked on your map with a purple quest icon.
When you examine the ruined forge, you’ll get a short cutscene of Henry’s childhood memories tied to the forge. You’ll then meet Magdalene, the widow of Skhoda the blacksmith, who recalls that Henry’s father once worked there as an apprentice before leaving Kuttenberg.
After that, the new questline kicks off and you can begin restoring the forge.
