Originally planned for summer 2025, Warhorse Studios has just released Brushes with Death, the first of three major DLCs outlined in the studio’s post-launch roadmap back in January, prior to the launch of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 in February.
The remaining two DLCs, Legacy of the Forge and Mysteria Ecclesiae, are expected to drop in autumn and winter 2025, respectively. All three paid expansions are included in both the Gold Edition and Expansion Pass.
Brushes with Death introduces a brand-new questline and new gameplay mechanics, but it also launches alongside Patch 1.3 that brings further gameplay improvements, including new mounted archery and horse racing activities.
How to access Brushes with Death
To access the DLC, you’ll need to purchase the base game. Brushes with Death unlocks after a certain point in the main story, namely after the For Whom the Bell Tolls quest, when you have 12 hours to save Capon, but you’re free to return to the DLC content at any point after it becomes available.
The starting point for Brushes of Death is marked with a DLC quest icon southeast of Trosky Castle. Entering the marked area will trigger a cutscene and begin the first DLC quest, A Sketchy Situation.
If you’re on the Kuttenberg map, travel back to the Trosky region by speaking to the coachman down the road west of Suchdol.
