One of the activities available in Hogwarts Legacy is growing plants you can use for potions, and even to help you in combat. In this guide, we will show you how to grow every single one of them.
Being a good witch or wizard in Hogwarts Legacy involves much more than just casting spells and riding broomsticks. Growing plants is just one of the many activities available in this latest fantasy RPG from Warner Bros.
Even if you are not the one with green fingers, do not worry; you have the magic to help you cultivate even the most deadly plants in the whole Wizarding World. To grow them all and unlock the trophy "Put Down Roots," you will need to grow eight plants in total: Dittany, Mallowsweed, Mandrake, Knotgrass, Chinese Chomping Cabbage, Shrivelfig, Fluxweed, and Venomous Tentacula.
In this guide, we will explain everything you need to do in order to unlock this trophy and collect some very useful plant ingredients in the process. So, let's jump into it, shall we?
Here is all everything you'll need to grow plants in Hogwarts Legacy
First and foremost, let us discuss what we need before we even start dirtying our hands and growing some plants.
Herbology Class
The first requirement for obtaining this trophy is to complete the main quest "Herbology Class." You will learn the herbology basics of cultivating plants, gathering seeds and fertilizer, and using potting tables in this quest, which is accessible very early in the game.
The room of requirements
Do not start hunting for this trophy if you haven't unlocked the room of requirements yet. This very special place of yours will help you install enough potting tables to earn this trophy as quickly as possible.
Seeds and fertilizer
There are two shops where you can buy seeds for your plants, and both are in Hogsmead: Dogweed and Deathcap, and The Magic Neep. Make sure to have enough money because the seeds in Hogwarts Legacy are not cheap. Travel to those shops in Hogsmead and buy the seeds for seven plants, all but Dittany; for this plant to count, just return to the greenhouse, where you planted it as part of the main quest, and harvest its leaves.
Potting tables
In order to grow some plants, you will have to set up the potting tables in your room of requirements. The first four plants that can be seeded in small pots will be unlocked automatically, but to grow the bigger plants, you will need the bigger pots—two middle and two big, to be specific. Once again, travel to Hogsmead and visit the Tomes and Scrolls shop, where you must buy at least two recipes for middle and big potting tables.
Now, when you have all you need, travel back to the room of requirements and set up the potting tables. You will need three small, two middle, and two big tables. To set up the tables, you must use the Conjuring spell.
When all the tables are set, approach each table to plant the seeds you just acquired from the shops in Hogsmead. Use the fertilizer if you want to speed up the process. However, if no fertilizer is used, the growth process for large plants takes twelve minutes and ten minutes for small plants. Pass the time at your leisure, and after twelve minutes, return to the plants. Once you harvest every plant, the trophy will pop up.
