Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 introduces a new Greek mythology storyline, featuring Zeus, Hades, Ares, Artemis, and Cerebrus. Following previous seasons, players were given a new Greek mythology story questline known as the Oracle's Snapshot. The questline guides players through each new in-game addition for the current season.
Now to spice things up, Epic Games is bringing community-loved character Midas to a new limited-time event titled "Rise of Midas.". Here's a comprehensive guide to completing the event in Chapter 5 Season 2.
A Complete Guide to the Rise of Midas Event in Fortnite
There are five stages in the Rise of Midas Event; these quests will go live each day at a specific time. Here's a look at all the stages of the Rise of Midas event and when they go live in-game:
- Midas Rises Quests: March 19 at 9 AM ET
- Et Tu, Brutus? Quests: March 20 at 9 AM ET
- Jules vs. the Golden Touch: March 25 at 9 AM ET
- Myths of Midas: March 27 at 9 AM ET
- The Great Marigold Yacht Heist: March 28 at 9 AM ET
All Quest Challenges
All stages of the Rise of Midas event will feature their own set of challenges. By completing these challenges, players can earn a wide range of exclusive in-game rewards. Here's a look at the challenges of all stages of the Rise of Midas event:
Midas Rises Quests
The Midas Rises Quests of the Rise of Midas event focuses on Marigold's investigation of Midas' escape from the jail cell at the Underworld. Here are all the challenges in the Midas Rises questline:
- Stage 1:Collect 200 Gold bars
- The easiest way to collect gold bars is by using EMP Shield Breaker Grenades on vending machines spread throughout the map. A vending machine drops 150 gold bars upon being hit by an EMP Shield Breaker Grenade.
- Moreover, Epic Games has introduced new Golden Chickens on the island. You can collect gold bars by simply collecting the eggs of golden chickens.
- Stage 2:Investigate Midas's jail cell
- Midas's jail cell is located below Hades' altar on the Underworld POI of the current map.
- Stage 3:Corroborate with Marigold on Midas's escape
- Players must report to Marigold at any of the scrying pools on the current map. Here are all the scrying pool locations:
- Scrying Pool 1: Located at Mount Olympus to the right of Zeus' Throne Room.
- Scrying Pool 2: Located north of the water bed at Reclaimed Villa.
- Scrying Pool 3: Located on the hill just south of Estate Station.
- Scrying Pool 4: Located at the Far West of the Underworld.
- Players must report to Marigold at any of the scrying pools on the current map. Here are all the scrying pool locations:
- Hit an Olympian Boss with Chains of Hades Mythic
- Summon an Olympian Boss at their altar and hit them with the new Chains of Hades mythic.
- Damage players with Chains of Hades or a Harbinger SMG (750 Damage)
- Use the Chains of Hades or Harbinger SMG to deal 750 damage to other players in Build mode or Zero Build.
Et Tu, Brutus? Quests
To finish, the Et Tu, Brutus? Questline players must investigate why Midas believes Brutus betrayed his trust. Here are all the challenges in the Et Tu, Brutus? questline:
- Hire specialists for different matches 3 times
- Players must hire specialist NPCs in 3 different matches.
- Purchase 3 items from Midas Vending Machines or Service Stations
- Midas vending machines are available at gas stations, service stations, and different POIs.
- Here are the items available at Midas vending machines:
- Patch-up service
- Weapons
- Activate a Rift
- Scan The Marigold Yacht for recording devices
- The recording device is located at the front gate of the Marigold yacht.
- Confront Brutus
- Visit Brutus to inquire about the recording devices found on the Marigold yacht.
Rise of Midas Event Rewards
By completing the quests given in different stages of the Rise of Midas event, players can earn the following exclusive rewards:
- Cerberus Medallion Spray: Complete a total of six Rise of Midas Quests
- Rose of Avarice back bling: Complete a total of 12 Rise of Midas Quests
- Queen in Gold glider: Complete a total of 18 Rise of Midas Quests
Players can earn unique event rewards by completing bonus goals as they go through the Rise of Midas quests. Each completed quest awards 10,000 XP in addition to the exclusive rewards.
The Rise of Midas event is scheduled to continue until April 2 at 9 AM ET, allowing players until then to complete these quests and collect as many rewards as possible before they are no longer available.
