Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 has brought in loads of content into the game. Players have received many new in-game events and challenges that allow them to get free in-game rewards such as skins, pickaxe, backblings are more.
Of these new events in Season 2, players were greeted with the Lantern Fest event last month. The new Lantern Fest event features sets of in-game challenges called the Lantern Trials that players can complete to earn exclusive in-game rewards. Here's a brief guide on how you can get all Lantern Trials cosmetics for free.
How to get the new Lantern Trial Cosmetics for free in Fortnite
The Lantern Trial cosmetics can be unlocked for free by activating the set of challenges for Fortnite's website following these steps:
- Head to the Fortnite Lantern Trials homepage.
- Click on Log In and log in with your Epic Games account.
- Unlock the set of challenges required to unlock the free cosmetics.
You must log in to the Lantern Trials event with the Epic Games account you use for Fortnite to start tracking the challenges. Once the tracking begins, you must earn certain number of badges by surviving storm circles to progress through all of the rewards.
All Lantern Trials Free Cosmetics and Challenges
There are three free cosmetics associated with the Lantern Trials event and here are the required challenges you need to complete:
- Disco Baller Spray: Unlock by signing up for the Lantern Trials event.
- Moonlit Peace Wrap: Six Lantern Trial badges (Survive 25 storm circles)
- The Nightblade Pickaxe: 11 Lantern Trial badges (Survive 50 storm circles)
Previously, the Disco Baller Spray was given away to players at selected Walmart and Target outlets. However, there was a catch. Players were required to dance for getting a code of this spray. So, many players have been disappointed at Epic Games for adding this spray to the game for free.
The Lantern Event will end on April 9, 2024 and the cosmetics will become unobtainable until Epic Games decides to add them back.
