Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 has taken players to the realm of Greek Gods. The new theme of this season brings the Olympian champions and prominent characters back to Fortnite.
Of these returning characters, the newest update has brought back Midas alongside his signature Marigold yacht and mythic Drum Gun. So, if you're a fan of one of the best mythic weapons in the game, here's how you can get it in-game.
How to Find Midas' Mythic Drum Gun in Fortnite
In order to obtain Midas' Mythic Drum Gun, players must travel to the west of the map to the Marigold Yacht, which is a prominent POI in Chapter 5 Season 2.
The Marigold yacht is located to the east of the Underworld POI, and on the top deck of the Marigold, players can speak with Ascendant Midas NPC to purchase one mythic drum gun in exchange for 600 gold bars.
Only one player in the lobby can acquire the drum gun from Midas, so remember to plan properly before acquiring one of the strongest mythics in the game.
Midas' mythic drum gun is quite different from the basic drum gun. The mythic one has a higher fire rate and a better recoil pattern. Moreover, the mythic comes with the following attachments:
- Red Eye Sight Scope
- Drum Magazine
- Vertical Foregrip Underbarrel
- Muzzle Brake Barrel
With a 40-round mag, the mythic drum gun deals 38 headshot damage and 25 body shot damage. Thanks to the high rate of fire, you will rip through your enemies in no time with this mythic weapon. However, the drum gun has a few downsides, including a high reload time, damage falling off at longer ranges and an erratic gun kick pattern.
To utilise the drum gun efficiently, we recommend using it alongside any shotgun, specifically the pump-action shotgun. As soon as you hit someone with the pump shotgun, switch to the mythic drum gun to finish off the remaining health instantly.
