The pantry door code in the Mess Hall in Directive 8020 is hidden in plain sight, but you won't find it unless you go looking in the right place.

Directive 8020 is a story-driven horror adventure where your decisions shape the outcome. During Episode 3, The Sample, Cooper and Anders are sent to the Mess Hall to search for Simms. Inside the Kitchen, you'll find a pantry door locked with a keypad. The code isn't handed to you, so you'll need to poke around before you can get through it.

Search the Mess Hall and hack the door

Before you can find the code, explore the Mess Hall thoroughly. You'll come across a large broken screen and a door that can be hacked open. Go through it, squeeze through the gap on the other side, and access the surveillance system there for additional information.

Find the note on the doorframe

Once you've used the surveillance system, squeeze back through the gap and return the way you came. Before moving on, look at the right side of the door frame. There's a handwritten note stuck there with the pantry code written on it. The code is 0402.

Once you open the pantry, you won't find anything spectacular, only a new bit of information that will add more to the timeline; however, in Directive 8020, this is just what you're looking for.

Quick tip: Don't head back to the Kitchen immediately after the surveillance system. The note on the door frame is easy to walk straight past if you're not looking for it on your way out.
