Xur is back with one of the best Hunter Exotics in Destiny 2 along with a quirky weapon that can be extremely lethal in the hands of a master.
Destiny 2 players can find Xur in Winding Cove, EDZ, this week. In order to get to the vendor, spawn on the aforementioned waypoint, turn left and go until you reach a fork in the road which is where you will take the right path.
You will soon notice a crashed Fallen ship, at which point you can either go through the cave underneath it or climb the rocks to the side, as pictured below.
When you finally reach Xur, he will greet you with Crimson, a Hand Cannon that aspires to be a Pulse Rifle. This weapon is highly useful in PvP, especially when it gets the catalyst that provides a much-needed Range increase. Crimson will heal you when you kill an enemy, meaning you are immediately ready to start another duel. Furthermore, it lowers the necessity for Recovery so if you didn't quite complete that armour set that gives 10 Recovery, this weapon will be even better. In PvE, you can keep killing enemies with reliable precision hits that also reload Crimson on top of the healing so you will become a one-man army that just clears things out without having to risk much.
Hunters are getting Stompies, easily one of the best Exotics they could hope for. These boots give you insane mobility, making them invaluable in PvP but also when you are going through jumping puzzles anywhere in the system. Unfortunately, the roll is not that great but it can be a decent placeholder until you get something with more Recovery.
Titans are getting Ursa Furiosa which returns Super energy proportional to the amount of damage you blocked with Sentinel Shield, which can now also block more. If you are looking to cheese a boss with double Xenophage shooting through your shield when running that middle Sentinel tree, this is the Exotic to go for.
Finally, Warlocks are getting Chromatic Fire, a chest piece that will give your Kinetic weapon the Dragonfly perk. It's useful in PvE where enemies tend to be clumped up but if you want to cheese groups of Guardians, just go for Cloudstrike instead.
