Are you looking for a set of support operators for the new ranked season or just some good ol' pub stomping? Here is a list of the best candidates.

Whether you are looking to carry matches in casual PvP modes in Caliber or sweat in ranked, the support role is often undermanned even though it has huge carry potential.

1C Game Studios overbuffed assaults previously but now that they are back to being somewhat squishier, supports get to shine again.

Here are the five best PvP supports for PvP since the September 2023 balance patch.

Best PvP supports in Caliber (September 2023)

  • Svarog
  • Fortress
  • Bishop
  • Prorok
  • Odin

Svarog was buffed before the September patch which already made him a powerhouse as there are almost no counters to Suppression, which is his big selling point. Be careful when facing shotgun wielders and Mustang with him since Suppression doesn't work on those weapons or the Kazakh assault's gadget. For everything else, pop Q and just kill them as they shoot all around you.

Fortress remains a powerful support due to the easily controlled primary weapon that has high DPS. She is also the single most agile support in the game if you bring Fully-Equipped Run and the 30-round magazine which essentially transforms her into a sturdy assault. While she doesn't carry as many fire ammo crates anymore, they are still round winners whenever they are available.

Bishop is still one of the most powerful supports around thanks to the absolute sledgehammer of a weapon he carries. That thing decimates enemy squads and his jammers are still hard to pinpoint which puts enemies at a major disadvantage. He also counters all the Q warriors, such as Starkadr, Aphela, Svarog or even Perun.

Prorok can be easily countered by equipping Thermographic Sight but this still hinders the opposing team as those who take this skill can't choose other useful things like faster reloads, better armour penetration or even flat damage buffs. Even if you are shooting at a Prorok that you can see through smoke, he has damage reduction in it and a very accurate weapon that is undoubtedly going to bring you down before he croaks. In other words, he is very hard to counter entirely unless you have a very precise Sultan or Kurt around.

Odin is not as powerful as he used to be but still features a ton of explosives and his weapon is one of the best in class. The ability is an absolute game changer when deployed properly and if you are on voice comms with your team, you can call out all the targets you reveal, giving them a ton of info. It is always good to have the Swede support around.
