Biomutant has a pretty deep upgrade and crafting system which you can use to create all sorts of ranged and melee weapons. Here's how to do that with the parts you find throughout the world.
Biomutant's gorgeous open-world is jam-packed with all sorts of loot. Basically, every location no matter how small it seems is hiding some super loot such as crafting parts, weapons and gear. Once you get weapons, you can also upgrade them further with certain weapon parts, to increase their damage or other stats. So, here's a short and simple guide to help you with weapon upgrading in Biomutant.
You won't be able to simply use the weapon upgrades the moment you find them in the world unless you have the necessary crafting materials in order to complete the upgrade. Basically, for weapon upgrades, you need both items for those upgrades as well as additional crafting materials that you spend to apply these upgrades to your weapons.
Once you have both, open your Gear menu and head to Craft, select the gear piece or a weapon that you want to upgrade and simply choose the upgrade item from the list in the lower-left corner. You'll also see what kind of crafting materials you need to complete the upgrading process.
If you don't have enough crafting materials, you can deconstruct some items that you looted earlier, if you don't plan on using them in your playthrough.
We doubt you'll run out of the crafting materials since totems that hold these are all around the game world.
Biomutant is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
