Every safe in Alone in the Dark, the latest horror adventure developed by Pieces Interactive, contains a valuable item or something closely related to the game's progression. In order to be able to finish the game, you will have to unlock several safes scattered throughout the game's world.
One of the last safes to unlock is located inside the Empty Room, the room that will bring a lot of answers related to the game's storyline.

How to find the Empty Room safe combination
Once you enter the Empty Room, you will notice the safe in plain sight. The safe is locked like any other safe in the game; only this one will require the combination of many more numbers than usual.
The first clue to discover is located on the wall with partially tared wallpaper. Approach this wall and interact with it to tease the wallpaper even further. Underneath it is a number consisting of three visible digits and three hidden by 'x's, with "LA" indicated below, suggesting it is a registration identifier.
If you check out your inventory, the first item will be your detective ID, on which you can discover the three remaining digits. The complete number is 196692. Approach the safe and input this number by starting from the right side by turning the dial wheel clockwise and changing the direction with each new number. Once all six numbers are dialled, the safe will open.
