There are two broken plates in total in Alone in the Dark, THQ Nordic's latest horror adventure, and solving them will require a great deal of thinking and legwork as well.
One of those plates is located inside the boiler room, and in order too solve this puzzle, you will have to meet a lot of requirements. First, you will have to find two missing plate pieces, then you will have to rearrange them correctly, and finally, you must find the code to put inside the talisman to visit another realm.

How to repair broken plate in boiler room
This entire quest is divided into three different tasks: collect the pieces, rearrange them correctly, and find the code for the talisman. First, regarding the pieces, one is located behind the boiler, and to reach it, you must first collect the cellar key. This key is story-related and cannot be missed. After you enter the cellar, pick up the switcher from the wine racks in front of you and kill the power on the breaker box to gain access to the missing valve. Pick up the valve and close the steam on the boiler, then collect the first broken piece.
Now go upstairs to collect the second piece. Check out our other guide here to find out how to collect it. With the two missing pieces in your possession, go to the boiler room again and rearrange the pieces to complete the picture. It might be a little tricky, but keep in mind that the best help with this task is to try to follow the lines and those small, unmovable pieces as a starting point.
Once the picture is complete, check out the gauges next to the valve. All three of them show different values. The smallest one is five, the medium-sized one is seven, and the biggest one is nine. Enter 579 inside the talisman, and the gate to the next place will become accessible for you.
