Several key items in Alone in the Dark, the newest horror adventure from THQ Nordic, are concealed behind hefty lock pads that can be unlocked by the combination of the zodiac signs.

Those lock pads always use the same pattern of unlocking: find the clue numbers and transform them into zodiac signs using the cypher obtained earlier in the game. One such lock pad is located inside Cassandra's room and will be encountered during chapter two.

How to unlock lock pad in Cassandra's room

First, in order to be able to unlock this lock pad, you will have to collect two missing pill bottles. The one is located inside Cassandra's room, while the other lies in the medicine chest within Lottie's room, on Derceto's first floor. However, this chest is locked, and depending on which character you play with, the key that unlocks it can be obtained from different NPCs; Edward will get it after the conversation with Ruth, and Emily after talking to Grace.

Alone in the Dark: This is how the bottles must be arranged

Put two missing bottles on the table inside Cassandra's room and align the rot on them by rotating and rearranging them. If you cannot get the correct order, see the picture above for reference. Arranging bottles correctly will reveal the numbers: 257.

Open Perosi's journal from the inventory and cross-reference these numbers with the zodiac signs. Two stands for Pisces, five for Gemini, and seven stands for Leo. Enter those three signs inside the pad, and it will unlock. Upon unlocking the pad, you will get the missing plate piece required for solving the broken plate inside the boiler room.
