There are two broken-plate puzzles in Alone in the Dark, the newest horror adventure from THQ Nordic, and one of them is located on the first floor of Derceto and features puzzles related to a huge astronomical clock.

In order to unlock this plate and gain access to another realm, you will have to do quite a lot of walking around and solving a few different puzzles.

How to solve the Astronomical Clock puzzle

One of the requirements for solving this puzzle will be the two different broken plate pieces that can be obtained throughout Derceto. The first piece is located inside the garden, right after you gain access to the bolt cutters. Inside the garden is a shed locked with a chain. Use the bolt cutters to break the chain and pick up the hose from within.

Activate the water flow at the tap close to the shed and repair the hose connected to the well. Once the water begins flowing, retrieve one of the broken pieces from the well. The other broken piece is located inside room six; check out the map to help you navigate to this room.

Once you have both pieces, place them on the plate and rearrange it to get the full picture. Once you do it, the clock will stop, allowing you to check out the value needed for opening another portal.

The numbers needed to be entered are 643, with six inside the big wheel, four inside the medium one, and three inside the small one. Enter these numbers, and the portal will open.
