PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is finally coming to PlayStation 4, well past its prime and in true Sony fashion, the game will feature exclusive items from, well, exclusive PS4 titles. PUBG Corp made Nathan Drake skin just for this occasion.
PUBG's announcement for PlayStation 4 was quickly burried beneath a pile of pre-order bonuses and different editions that offer digital incentives in exchange for committing early, and blindly, to a game that was never fixed on PC and even less so on Xbox One.
Anyway, the game is coming to PlayStation 4 on 07 December 2018 and while the snow map has been mentioned in the post, PUBG Corp clarified that it will not be present at launch, but will come at a later date this winter. Probably the most notable pre-order bonus is the Nathan Drake outfit you can see on the header image.
The other two pre-order exclusives are the backpack themed after Ellie from The Last of Us series, as well as PSN ID icon featuring the "PUBG guy". All three bonuses will be applied to your account in case of a pre-order, regardless which edition you choose.
There will be two standard editions - the physical and digital ones. Both will stand at $29,99 / €29,99 / ~£26,49 and will simply contain the base game. Survivor's Digital edition will cost as much as a AAA game - $59,99 / €59,99 / ~£49,99 and will net you Vikendi Event Pass which is their brand of Fortnite's Battle Pass, as well as 2.300 G-Coin Pack.
The most expensive option, Champion's Digital edition, will be the same as Survivor's but will have 6.000 G-Coins bundled in and will stand at a staggering $89,99 / €89,99 / ~£78,05.
While it's hard to imagine someone committing that hard to PUBG as to pre-order Champion's Digital edition, it's quite possible players will jump at the opportunity to grab the game in its standard form. It remains to be seen whether PUBG will kick H1Z1 from PS4 battle royale scene as the latter is a free to play title.
