PUBG - Erangel and Miramar both live

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has a new patch on its test servers. The update brought the Erangel map back. Both maps are now playable but which map you play will be decided at random when a match begins.

PUBG's desert map to debut at The Game Awards

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds' new map set to be revealed during The Game Awards. The map was teased back in July. A recent patch was datamined to reveal a nearly finished desert map.

NOVEMBER 30

This War of Mine - first story-driven DLC

This War of Mine just got the first DLC pack from the new story-driven series. Two more episodes are set to launch sometime in 2018. A season pass is available.

NOVEMBER 15

Fortnite Battle Royale: 20 million players

Fortnite's Twitter account shared the happy news that the game had reached 20 million players. Fortnite Battle Royale was released in September 2017. The game celebrated 10 million players in October.

NOVEMBER 6

Metal Gear Survive will release in early 2018

If you are among the five or so Metal Gear fans who hold the firm belief that the series could do with more zombies and multiplayer co-op then you are in luck. Konami has now disclosed a release date for the title and it's coming in early 2018.

Dead by Daylight is free on Steam until next week

Behaviour Interactive's asymmetrical horror survival title Dead by Daylight will be free for a trial run up until the end of this week on Steam. During the same time, the title and all of its DLC are available at a 50 per cent discount.

SEPTEMBER 13

Raft is coming to Steam Early Access sometime next year

Raft has been up for inspection in an alpha-ish state for a while now. The developers at Redbeet Interactive have announced today that the survival game will be available with Steam Early Access sometime in 2018.

SEPTEMBER 5

Dead Rising 4: Frank’s Big Package

Dead Rising 4: Frank’s Big Package will become available for PlayStation 4 owners on 05 December, 2017. The bundle will contain all downloadable content released for the game. Players on Xbox One, Steam and Windows 10 will receive the all-new “Capcom Heroes” mode as a free update when Dead Rising 4: Frank’s Big Package is released.

SEPTEMBER 1

The Division update 1.8 "Resistance"

Resistance will roll out sometime in autumn. Along with some updates for the Underground DLC, Resistance will also bring a new area and two new game modes. The new social hub will be called Camp Clinton.

ARK releasing next week, already has a launch trailer

After two years in Steam Early Access, ARK: Survival Evolved is finally releasing as a complete, totally finished, and full-priced game next week. There is a launch trailer up for anyone looking for proof.

Conan Exiles launching on Xbox One - US release has no genitals

Conan Exiles is arriving on Xbox Game Preview today. The Frozen North expansion will be included in the Xbox One launch and will be added to the PC version of the game at the same time. The US version will not feature the game's trademark intimate parts.

AUGUST 16

No Man's Sky update adds proto-multiplayer

The Atlas Rises update for No Man's Sky looks like the first major leap towards the game that Hello Games kept promising shortly before launch. Additional story content, a procedural mission system and the first glimpses of multiplayer are now part of the game.

Free No Man's Sky 'Atlas Rises' update is coming this week

No Man's Sky recently spawned an ARG and apparently more than a few people still cared enough to participate. Hello Games definitely still care about their game and IP. A new free update for the game titled Atlas Rises is releasing this week.

Conan Exiles' Frozen North expansion coming in August

Conan Exiles is about to go through some extreme climate change. The Frozen North expansion will be added to the base game for free on 16 August 2017, for both PC and Xbox One. The expansion will add a lot of cool new content.

AUGUST 4

ARK: Survival Evolved release pushed back to late August

ARK: Survival Evolved has been delayed from 8 August to 29 August 2017, owing to complications with the game's Gold Master certification. The finished product should ship along with the free Ragnarok DLC according to the new release schedule in late August.

JCB Pioneer: Mars is coming to PC this summer

Indie dev studio Atomicom joined forces with Games Co and JCB to produce JCB Pioneer: Mars. The game is a blend of survival and construction gameplay set on an alien planet. JCB Pioneer: Mars launches in Steam's Early Access this summer.

JULY 10

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds - new map

Mr. Brendan Greene of PUBG shared two images of a new map coming to the game. Twitter post showed an abandoned desert city. An exact release date for the map is still unknown.

Conan Exiles teases mammoth expansion ahead of Xbox launch

Conan Exiles still isn't our of Early Access but Funcom finds it necessary to tease a free and frosty upcoming expansion. The Norwegian studio has shared some screenshots and a short promo video of the upcoming additional content.

H1Z1: King of the Kill updated

Daybreak Games released a new update for H1Z1: King of the Kill. The update introduced team scoring and leaderboards as well as some UI improvements. "Pleasant Valley Nightmare" Skirmish is a new time-limited skirmish playable on the weekends.

JUNE 30

Metal Gear Survive pushed back

Konami delayed their Metal Gear Survive into 2018. The stealthy survival game is the first Metal Gear title after Hideo Kojima, the creator of the series, left Konami.

JUNE 14

Portal Knights - After the Fracture

Portal Knights is an indie survival RPG available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The game is a mix of exploration, crafting and role-playing elements. Portal Knights offers a singleplayer and a multiplayer mode.

MAY 24

It is now Praey for the Gods

No Matter, an indie studio developing a project called Prey for the Gods encountered some issues when they tried to trademark that name. Subsequently, they changed the name of the project at the behest of ZeniMax, who own the trademark for the name "Prey".

The Division: free for the weekend

The Division will be available for free this weekend. People who play on their PCs will have a two hour head start roaming the infected streets of New York.
