ARK: Survival Evolved has been delayed from 8 August to 29 August 2017, owing to complications with the game's Gold Master certification. The finished product should ship along with the free Ragnarok DLC according to the new release schedule in late August.
ARK: Survival Evolved has been sitting comfortably in Steam Early Access for over two years now, and has managed to sell over 5 million copies in that time, as well as miraculously receiving several paid and free expansion packs. It may be unusual, it may be total BS and Early Access abuse, or it might just be the way games are released these days.

Either way, the honest-to-George-full-on-release has been delayed from 8 August to 29 August 2017. The developers say that the game has already gotten its Gold Master certification, but the process just took longer than expected. ARK? Something taking long? What a surprise.

ARK: Survival Evolved has enjoyed popularity similar to that of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds back during the early days of its Early Access release, and has spawned lots of copycat titles in its wake. The game could definitely benefit for some fresh blood pouring into its fanbase, but it remains to be seen what effect a full PC and console release will exactly have on the game as a whole.
