Techland and Nvidia reveal a new look at the upcoming survival horror game Dying Light: The Beast, highlighting cutting-edge ray-traced graphics and an eerie soundtrack, which stole the show for me.

Dying Light: The Beast RTX features

Anticipation is ramping up for Dying Light: The Beast, which launches worldwide on September 19, 2025. Ahead of release, Techland and Nvidia have unveiled a brand-new “RTX On” trailer, showcasing the game’s next-generation visuals powered by GeForce RTX 5090 hardware at 4K Max Settings with DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation 4X Mode.

The trailer highlights ray-traced shadows, global illumination, and reflections, giving players a glimpse of the game’s incredibly detailed environments. While the visuals look stunning, many players (including myself) are already praising the trailer’s atmospheric soundtrack, which amplifies the game’s eerie tone and horror setting.

The soundtrack features the iconic Dying Light theme piano notes with occasional guitar-like bass tone, making it fit perfectly in this trailer. But don't let me tell you about it, check the video above and hear it for yourself.

Also launching on GeForce NOW

Techland ssay that at launch, Dying Light: The Beast will fully support DLSS 4 and advanced ray tracing features, ensuring a cinematic and fluid experience on high-end PCs. The game will also arrive on GeForce NOW on day one, allowing players to stream the action instantly.

Fans eager for a hands-on preview can head to gamescom 2025 in Cologne, Germany, where the game will be playable at Castor Woods in Hall 6. Visitors can also grab a free burger from Bober’s Burgers during the event. Tasty!

Dying Light free-to-play weekend

In the meantime, players can revisit the origins of the franchise. From August 21–25, the original Dying Light will be free to play on Steam during a special Free Weekend. This includes access to Kyle Crane’s story, now enhanced by the Retouched Update released in June.

With next-gen visuals, immersive audio, and the return of Techland’s signature parkour survival gameplay, Dying Light: The Beast is shaping up to be one of the most exciting horror releases of 2025.
