Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One have a new feature that lets the players download their games faster than before. Xbox Insider program users already have access to the new addition.
Xbox players will now be able to download their games much faster thanks to a new brand-new feature. The folks at Microsoft have recently added a "suspend my game" option to the Xbox download queue screen.
Selecting the new feature will help improve download speeds.
Everyone who opted into Xbox's Insider program is currently seeing the feature roll out on their Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One consoles. The Insider program enables the players to unlock all the new dashboard features early.
"Suspend in the queue will let you download at full speed while making sure your game remains resumable (or quick resume-able on Series X|S)," Xbox engineering lead Eden Marie shared on Twitter:
A Twitter user commented on the tweet asking about the layouts in the Game Pass and Games with Gold sections of the Full Library - Marie confirmed that the team also tweaked Gold.
The reason you might not have been able to get a full download speed while running a game is that the console reserves a piece of your connection for any potential online connectivity or issues. The saved portion of the connection is unlocked by quitting or suspending games.
