Xbox announced a roster of games for another busy Free Play Days this weekend. Titles on offer span racing games, shooters, survival horror, and action, with this week’ selections including Gears of War: Reloaded, High on Life 2, Formula Legends, and Dying Light.
Free Play Days will be available from May 28 through May 31 for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential subscribers. Certain games this week are available for every Xbox gamer, regardless of subscription tier.
Formula Legends is a welcome addition to the collection, a retro-inspired racer celebrating Formula motorsports. From yesteryear cars to modern-day homages, players can speed around remixed real-world tracks as they drive their favorite Formula style racers.
Survival horror fans can check out Dying Light: Definitive Edition, which includes everything from Techland’ rebooted open-world zombie title. Players explore an open city rotted by the spread of a virus, weaving between cover using parkour locomotion while blasting monsters and scavenging for supplies.
As with the original release, day and night cycles affect gameplay and survival chances. The Definitive Edition of the game includes all of the title’ DLC and expansions as well.
Gears of War: Reloaded is a major highlight this Free Play Days, as the game is available to every Xbox gamer this weekend. All players can access the remastered Gears title as part of Free Play Days without needing an Xbox Game Pass subscription.
Version includes upgraded visuals, all of the game’ DLC content released after launch, new multiplayer maps, bonus campaign missions, and cosmetics.
Last but not least, High on Life 2 is available as a five-hour timed trial for all console players. The offbeat sci-fi shooter from Squanch Games dives players into a world of weird humor, chatty alien firearms, and intense gunplay. Players fight their way through the galaxy to end a universe-wide conspiracy upending civilization.
