Blizzard announced they will be dishing out double experience in World of Warcraft for an entire month. Considering the number of people playing the most popular MMO in history, it's possible it will help many stay in self-isolation.

Coronavirus pandemic is worldwide and since our species apparently prefers to forego the basics of survival instinct, many big figures in the gaming industry are doing their part by offering incentives to stay at home and play.

The latest in line is Blizzard, as the company doubled the experience gains in World of Warcraft, thus making it the perfect time to level a bunch of alts. Winds of Wisdom , as Blizzard calls the buff, kicked off on 20 March 2020 and is set to conclude on 20 April 2020.

It will apply to all World of Warcraft players, regardless of how many expansions they purchased, if any. In other words, it doesn't matter if an account's last expansion is Legion, Battle for Azeroth or neither and it's simply a Starter Edition account.

Unfortunately for those looking for some of their favourite unlocks, the buff applies only to experience and not reputation gains. Therefore, those looking to level up their Allied Races have it best while those who still didn't go through the rep grind might not benefit at all.

To make things sweeter, Winds of Wisdom buff will work properly with heirloom experience buffs so levelling up enough to fast N'Zoth and the tentacle company should be faster than ever.

On the other hand, keep in mind that the buff applies only to the regular World of Warcraft. Blizzard decided not to touch World of Warcraft Classic experience rates and it's probably for the best as the players who enjoy the things as they used to be, also tend to like the slower progression.
