World of Warcraft is preparing to leave a dreadful expansion behind and delve into a new one and Blizzard has set a date for the reveal.
World of Warcraft is at the end of the journey when it comes to touring the supposed afterlife in the universe as we defeated the giant retcon and are now looking forward to the next big trouble to befall Azeroth.
The first look at what's next for WoW will happen on April 19, 2022, at 9:00 AM PDT / 12:00 PM EDT (noon) / 5:00 PM GMT / 6:00 PM CEST. Naturally, the announcement didn't reveal much at this time and it only noted the team will share what they've been working on.
On the other hand, there have been leaks and rumours about the next expansion for a while now and it has something to do with Dragonflight. Whether this will be the actual name of the expansion remains to be seen but it's safe to assume everyone hopes it will be better than Shadowlands.
Even though the bar is pretty low, the turmoil that Blizzard went through in the last few years has left the company a husk of its former self and many are doubting they can turn things for the better.
Should the next expansion not be a decisive improvement over the current one, WoW's future might look even bleaker than it already is, which could spell another influx of players to other MMOs on the market.
