Eko Software and Bigben announced the release of Warhammer: Chaosbane DLC, Tomb Kings, for PC via Steam but console players will have to wait a bit longer. It includes a new standalone story, environments and enemies as well as 10 tombs.
Tomb Kings became available for PC players on Steam on 16 December 2019. Console version is still pending release but the developers and publisher maintain it will be made available "early next year" which could mean the new content is coming as soon as January 2020 but it's not guaranteed.
Warhammer: Chaosbane's DLC will envelop players in a completely new story that is separate from the main campaign. It will take place in the necropolises of the Land of the Dead, as one could conclude from the name of the DLC. These lands of Nehekhara are now a shadow of their former self with dust, ruins and undead abound.
The new environments will be desert-themed and will include 10 ancient tombs that will basically be dungeons with varied gameplay. Environmental puzzles, babysitting of the Amethyst Order and discovery of dangerous artefacts will be included.
It will not be the same old enemy slaughter though as there will be new hostile units. These consist of the undead but their exact abilities and combat potency remain to be discovered by the players.
The DLC itself will set the enthusiasts back $9.99 / €9.99 / £7.99. User reviews are already starting to pop up on Steam so you might want to wait a few days and see how it pans out.
Then again, this is an action RPG DLC so the new content can be basically summed up in new hordes to kill, new dungeons and items.
