Players will get to try out a new Warhammer: Chaosbane activity in the latest update, called Tower of Chaos, which is an all or nothing attempt at grabbing loot. There are several PC improvements as well as some for the consoles.
Tower of Chaos is not something extremely innovative as the mode has been seen in other games previously. In a nutshell, players will go in and kill all enemies in the area. After that is complete, a loot chest will spawn and players have the option to either loot it and go out or continue to the next floor since it can yield better loot. Getting killed will leave the player with nothing so choose when you might loot it wisely.
To add to the challenge of the tower with infinite floors, the Eko Software added eight new enemy types for it, highlighting the Nurgle Cultists and Chaos Sorcerers in the video below.
It appears the devs got a lot of feedback over the last year regarding Chaosbane's systems and the devs are working on fixing or improving them at all times.
Relic Hunt and Boss Rush modes can now be altered due to having additional settings. These will allow players to increase the challenge through adding certain parameters, meaning they will also get better loot but doing so will require spending of a new currency.
As far as gameplay improvements go, PC players received plenty of inventory management changes that will let them sort and filter items however they want.
Both PC and console players will be able to alter the appearance of their gear through new vanity items, bringing the end to the question of "looks or stats".
