Bigben and Eko Software are hosting the first phase of the closed beta test for their upcoming hack and slash RPG Warhammer: Chaosbane. Those who pre-ordered the game will have six days to try it out, starting tomorrow - 07 March 2019.
The first hack and slash RPG set in Warhammer fantasy universe is still a few months away, but the publisher BigBen and the developers Eko Software are ready to reveal a small portion of the game to a limited number of players.
Those who pre-ordered Warhammer: Chaosbane will have a chance to try out the game in the closed beta test which starts on 07 March 2019. It will be available on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and all three editions of the game will grant you access to the beta.
According to the announcement, this is just the first phase of Warhammer: Chaosbane closed beta. It will run for six days before ending on 13 March 2019 and you can even pre-load it right now on all three platforms so everything is up and running once the servers go live. The download size is 4.7 GB on PlayStation 4, 8.8 GB on Xbox One and 13.4GB on PC.
As for the content that will be available in the closed beta, players will be able to develop their characters to level 20, explore the sewers of Nuln and fight against demons called Nurgle.
Furthermore, the beta also supports cooperative play with up to four players, either locally or online so players can experience both single player and multiplayer gameplay.
If you're wondering how many character classes will be available to choose from, well, you can either pick the Imperial soldier Konrad or the High-Elf Mage Elontir. The full game will have two additional classes - Slayer and Waywatcher.
In preparation for the launch of the closed beta, the developers released "Ask Me Anything" video in which they talked about the planned content and gameplay features. They also mentioned the endgame and the three modes that will await players once they finish the main campaign.
Warhammer: Chaosbane is dropping on 04 June 2019 for Standard Edition owners and 31 May 2019 for those who purchased Magnus or Digital Deluxe Edition.
