Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is still a bit away from full release but you can get to play a decent chunk of the game right now.

Owlcat Games announced that Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader beta is kicking off on June 1, 2023.

Technically, this is old news but the new news includes the details about what you can play and how much content there is during this playtest.

The beta is available on both Steam and GOG, playable by those who purchased the game already. Additionally, preordering it now will also grant you access.

Rogue Trader beta will feature the prologue as well as the first three acts of the game. The last one is particularly exciting for W40K fans since it is the one set in Commorragh, the city of Drukhari, the sadist dark eldar.

Across those four chapters, players are looking at 60 to 80 hours of playtime which is way more than in some complete games.

Character creation will exist in the beta, which was not the case for the previous playtests and players will be able to choose between four classes - Fighter, Leader, Adept and Soldier.

They can be advanced to Assassin, Vanguard and Hunter later on, dependant on your initial choices.

Just like in previous Owlcat titles, there will  be puzzles and hidden secrets but the devs noted they dialed it back from the likes of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous.
