More information regarding Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2's upcoming February update for its Season 3, titled the Datavault Update, has been revealed by Saber Interactive. It introduces new additions in terms of a new PvP map, a new PvE foe, and new customizability options.
The newest PvP arena, Tomb, takes place in the narrow corridors of a Necron tomb in Demerium. Players will have a lot of close-quarters fighting, but a little room for maneuver in a few areas will allow for a little planning in battles. But corners and concealed ambushes will make battles unpredictable.
From a PvE viewpoint, a new and deadly foe, the BioVore, will join in the fight. Found in Tyranid-themed maps, this enemy spews out explosive Spore Mines, sending a player into a lot of danger.
Also growing with the Raven Guard Chapter Pack is its range of cosmetic items, including its famous MK VI "Corvus" helmet.
A new significant addition in this update is the Datavault, accessible via Battle Barge. With it, players can gain access to lore entries and cosmetics through in-game currency earned via Ordeals.
Players can access these through completing missions at increased difficulty, defeating Tyranids in specific fashions, and a variety of similar such events.
Although its launch date is not yet confirmed, its update will become accessible in February at an unspecified date. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 can currently be played on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
