Ubisoft may have leaked Ghost Recon Breakpoint through their own store, one day before the reveal was supposed to happen. Some of the extracted info includes the sequel's antagonist, the bridge between Wildlands and Breakpoint and more.
Ubisoft made the Ghost Recon Wildlands fans rather ecstatic with the announcement that Jon Bernthal would be a new Ghost that will accompany them in a free new mission just one week before the sequel's announcement but now it appears he might also be the bridge to the new game, titled Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
According to a screenshot taken from Ubisoft store before the store page was taken down, Breakpoint will be a story focused up-to-4-player-co-op game, just like Wildlands.
The main antagonist will apparently be Cole D. Walker, the same Ghost that recently accompanied Nomad's team during Operation Oracle. If the leak is correct, Walker went rogue and killed Midas, Holt and possibly Weaver so it's possible Nomad will be the protagonist once again, out for revenge.
Nomad will be up against Walker's mechanised army of weaponised drones on top of the regular enemies.
Ghost Recon Breakpoint release date is allegedly 4 October 2019 and the game will arrive to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at the same time.
The store page included a collector's edition, titled Wolves, which will be exclusive to Ubisoft store and contain a 24 cm high figurine of Walker, a map, concept art, Ultimate Pack that contains some missions, vehicles cosmetics and early unlocks and Year 1 Pass, signifying the recurring revenue model from Wildlands will return.
According to one of the posts about the leak, the reveal on 9 May 2019 will include some gameplay that will have "alpha footage" flair on it so it's possible we will see further iterations of Breakpoint down the road.
