Ubisoft will officially announce new Ghost Recon game on 09 May 2019 it's been confirmed by the publisher. At the moment, it is unknown if the new Ghost Recon game will be a sequel to Wildlands or possibly another futuristic shooter.
After many hints in Ghost Recon Wildlands, suggesting that some sort of reveal by Ubisoft is coming soon, we now have the official confirmation that the publisher plan to announce new Ghost Recon game in just two days from now - Thursday, 09 May 2019, 11:30 AM PDT.
In a tease on Twitter, Ubisoft shared a short video which reveals the new Ghost Recon logo, the one used for the last game in the series - Wildlands. This could mean that Ubisoft are readying to reveal Wildlands sequel but it's also possible they are just going with the new logo regardless of the game's setting.
Another hint that suggests the next Ghost Recon game could be Wildlands 2 is the skull design. It's exactly the same as the one from Wildlands and the only, minor difference is the metal pattern over the new skull.
Again, this is just a guess and it's always possible that new Ghost Recon returns to a futuristic setting, but judging by the feel and look of the teaser, our bet would be on modern day action.
Ubisoft also offered Ghost Recon Wildlands for free for a limited time last week to celebrate the new story DLC - Operation Oracle. They also run an aggressive marketing campaign by hiring Twitch streamers to play the new missions. This could be seen as another hint that Wildlands sequel is indeed the next Ghost Recon game.
All in all, the reveal is coming in just two days now, so we won't have to wait too long before we find out which setting Ubisoft chose for the next Ghost Recon title. If you're excited about the reveal, set your reminders for the live stream that will be available on Ubisoft's Twitch and YouTube channels.
