In case you're an Amazon Prime subscriber who has activated the Twitch Prime service, you should now that six free games are coming your way in May 2018, including I, Hope, Gone Home, Titan Souls, Psychonauts, High Hell and ClusterTruck.
I, Hope is the freshest of the bunch, with the game having launched . The game is notable for tackling an incredibly difficult issue of illness and for all proceeds going to charity. This is no promotional gimmick though - I, Hope is a great game in its own right, even ignoring the context.
Gone Home has won hearts and minds of players and reviewers alike when it launched back in 2013. It is said to be a perfect example of games as an art and its storytelling is really second to none, relying on items to intertwine memories into a deep storyline.
Titan Souls is described as a top-down adventure and the game perfectly marries sprites and pixelated graphics with new technology and mechanics. The game was developed by Acid Nerve andpublished by Devolver Digital and it's well worth checking out.
In case you haven't heard of or played Psychonauts, you absolutely owe it to yourself to have a go at what's widely regarded to be a masterpiece by Tim Schafer and the gang. Having replayed it myself a few months back, I can vouch that Raz and the rest of the Psychonauts age like wine. Okay, maybe not in the graphics department.
High Hell is an interesting shooter with cel shaded type of visuals although I cannot say that I'm familiar with it. Same goes for ClusterTruck, which to be fair seems to have been thrown in just to boost the numbers.
Amazon have taken Twitch Prime pretty seriously, throwing in plenty of freebies along the way. The service is keeping up with the trends as well, with plenty of Fortnite themed freebies on display for instance. The company did however announce price hikes in the US but as long as they keep the freebies coming.
