In the latest Nintendo Direct, the publisher have confirmed that their Switch console is set to become richer for three new ports - Dead by Daylight, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and Unravel 2. The three titles will release in 2019.
Nintendo have officially announced a fresh batch of games that will be dropping on their Switch console. During the latest Nintendo Direct stream, the publisher confirmed that Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, Dead by Daylight and Unravel Two will be available in 2019.
The three will release separately and Unravel Two is the only title that got a specific release date - it's coming on 22 March 2019. The other two titles, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and Dead by Daylight are scheduled for release in Spring and Autumn 2019 respectively.
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice Switch port is being handled by QLOC, the team who ported Dark Souls Remastered to Switch while the other two games will be ported by their original developers.
If you are unfamiliar with these titles, Dead by Daylight was released back in 2016 on PC and a year later on PS4 and Xbox One. It allows you to play as a hunter or hunted, meaning that you can choose the role of one of four helpless survivors who are trying to escape the killer, or be the killer yourself and mercilessly track down your prey.
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, on the other hand, is a totally different experience. It's a critically acclaimed dark fantasy action-adventure game released back in 2017 and it follows Celtic warrior Senua on her mission to save her dead lover's soul from the Viking hell.
As both of these titles are pretty dark, Unravel Two is looking to balance things out with its colourful graphics. As the name suggests, EA's puzzle platformer emphasizes local co-op play but you can also play it in single player mode.
All in all, some pretty good titles are coming to Switch gamers and it's great to see Nintendo working on expanding their catalogue. In addition to these titles, the recently announced Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered edition is officially coming to Nintendo Switch on 21 May 2019.
