The Witcher 3 modder Halk Hogan has showcased the next version of his mega-popular mod HD Reworked Project. The version 12.0 is set to introduce high-quality textures to characters and reworks to The Witcher Gear.
Five years after its release, The Witcher 3 is still a gorgeous game but as expected, it's starting to show its age, especially with the next-gen graphics just around the corner. However, the modding community are yet to lose their passion for the game and have been releasing mods with various fixes, improvements and more.
One of these modders is Halk Hogan, the author of The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project texture pack, which brings a ton of improved, 4K textures to the game, replacing the old ones for much better visuals. The modder has teased the next version of his mod, which brings improvements to NPCs and The Witcher gear.
As you can see in the video above, this new version of the mod will add new textures to NPCs clothing, armour, weapons and even faces. There is plenty of comparisons in the preview video and you can also check one of the biggest improvements in this screenshot:
The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project 12.0 also brings improvements to The Witcher gear. Halk Hogan managed to fix various clipping issues and also improve the textures of the gear even further.
The modder says he will share the release date of the new version pretty soon. Until then, you can download the previous version , which brings an overhaul to Toussaint.
