Riot Games are dropping some new champions and traits for the upcoming Teamfight Tactics Set 8. This set will release on League of Legends PBE servers on November 15, 2022. Unlike previous sets, there are no champions that take up two slots on the board.
As revealed by Riot's game design director, Mortdog, here are all the new Traits that are dropping on the new Teamfight Tactics Monster Attack! Set 8.
Set 8 new Traits:
- Threat
- Anima Squad
- Underground
- Arsenal
- A.D.M.I.M.
- Star Guardian
Champions who have the Threat trait don’t benefit from other units that also have Threat because they are essentially champions for themselves. Rammus is the new Teamfight Tactics champion and he will be a Threat! Other Threat champions are Aurelion Sol, Vel'Koz, Zac, and Bel'Veth.
Anima Squad champions earn Fame points that stack after they kill enemy units. Each Fame point grants champions within the Anima Squad trait ability power and attack damage.
Units that have the Underground trait are Samira, Sona, Kayle, and Vi. Each round of player combat advances the Underground champions toward completing their mysterious heist. This can give the player gold, items or full items.
Arsenal is a custom trait for Aphelios. The trait allows players to swap weapons for Aphelios in between combat to change his abilities.
A.D.M.I.M. allows players a chance to customize what the trait does for their team. The trait is designed around Cause and Effect options. There will be a total of seven Cause and Effect options.
Champions that have the Star Guardian trait that we know about include Lux, Yuumi, Rell, Ekko, Nilah, Taliyah, Syndra, and Kai’Sa. Star Guardian's main function is to generate mana for their team.
