Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is about to wrap up the ongoing Pokemon event and welcome four characters from the Resident Evil franchise into its Spirit Board. The horror foursome will be unlockable for five days.
Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is saying goodbye to the Pokemon Sword & Shield spirits it's been hosting on 27 November, and replacing them with not as cute and cuddly characters from the Resident Evil franchise two days later. Capcom's zombie-fighting heroes will appear in their spirit form on 29 November.
Smash Bros' Resident Evil themed spirit event will remain in the realm for five days before the characters disappear into the aether once more, never to be seen again.
The survivors of Racoon City who are scheduled to appear on Friday are as follows: Albert Wesker (the antagonist), Leon Kennedy (the RE2 protagonist), Chris Redfield (the boulder puncher), and Jill Valentine (the almost sandwich).
As with all Spirit Board events thus far, you'll be required to defeat the Spirit-possessed fighters (and do it under special conditions). You will have until 4 December to unlock all four Resident Evil characters. The bonus received for the upcoming event will be in the form of Spirit Points.
After the Spirit Battle, please make sure you shoot the gap while the shield is rotating though, otherwise, you'll have to spend extra points, and nobody wants that.
Kennedy's inclusion in this event lowers his chances of becoming the fifth DLC character to be included in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass. The honour of being admitted into the pass recently went to Terry Bogard as reported in early September.
CapcomSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate launched for the Nintendo Switch on 7 December 2018. The "Oust the Resident Evil!" is, at the moment, the last event of its kind showcased on the Smash wiki.
