Stardew Valley's latest update appears to have caused a few issues with fishing, but developer Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone reacted quickly to come up with a hotfix.
We're talking about the update 1.5.3, which launched a bit after midnight in Europe, but the late hours didn't stop the dev from launching a hotfix to address the matter.
Anyway, you can now enjoy fishing with the rest of your gang in Stardew Valley along with the rest of the improvements that came with the 1.5.3 update.
The hotfix lists the following changes:
- Fixed an issue where you could get stuck from pulling in fish after getting a nibble on fishing rod in multiplayer
- Fixed items lost from being knocked not being considered for checks that check all items ingame
As for the rest of 1.5.3 changes, one of them should address the issues with ultra-wide displays that some Stardew Valley players experienced. The update has added an "experimental change" that should allow the game to render correctly on such displays.
Stardew Valley players will no longer get stuck or soft-locked in an animation after using a tool, as the dev pushed through a fix for "various cases" of such occurrences.
Stardew Valley 1.5.3 patch notes contain a multitude of other fixes, many of which have been blanked out for potential spoilers, so we'll let you check them out for yourself on Steam.
